Executive Summary
The health care workforce is the performance output and functioning of the workers in a health
care unit. Each health care organization recruits a number of employees with distinctive technical
and managerial skills combining up the individual collaborative performances to perform
services in the organization. The employees have their extrinsic and intrinsic levels of
motivations towards their jobs to meet their targets. For any organization to perform better,
installment of technical machinery and tools to facilitate the workforce employees as well as the
consumers and connecting the employees with the sense of one shared common goal using
various motivational and leadership approaches is of the prime importance because it is the
workforce who has to offer the services to the consumers and provide the reports to executive
leadership [Rhouse, M. (2015)].
This paper explores the key components to improve the workforce performance in health care
units resulting in the improved health plans and their practical implications in the field.
Availability and recruitment of technically strong team with the concept of placing right people
at the right place and monitoring their functioning to create a greater force for on shared goal is
necessary and no health care organization can achieve its goals without motivating their
employees to empathize with the shared goal. The investment on personality grooming, training
programs to improve communicational abilities and systematic update in constantly improving
technical skills to ensure public health and enhance quality of organizational services in the
health care unit by using approaches to problem solving and motivational training sessions.
Compensations for target achievements in the form of cash, vocational tours, allowances and
salary raises can be one of the many tools to improve employee motivation.
