Would you recommend dynamic addressing for your organization (office or your school)?
Provide an example of when static IP addressing might be more suitable.
As the name suggests, dynamic IP addresses are subject to change, sometimes at a moment's
notice. Dynamic addresses are assigned, as needed, by Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP) servers.
We use dynamic addresses because IPv4 doesn't provide enough static IP addresses to go around.
So, for example, a hotel probably has a static IP address, but each device within its rooms would
have a dynamic IP address.
Deciding whether dynamic or static IP addresses are better for you also depends on the nature of
the connection. A static IP address is more likely to be relevant for a business, while a dynamic
IP address is appropriate for a home network.
Static IP addressing is more suitable in schools or offices because-
1. It has better DNS support.
2. Convenient remote access
3. More reliable communication
4. More reliable geo-location services.
Explain if IP addressing is part of logical network design or physical network design.
IP addressing is part of the logical network because-
A logical network appears to the user as a single, separate entity. However, it might be either an
entity created from multiple networks or just a part of a more extensive network. A logical
network is defined by its IP addressing scheme.
When designing a network, the "logical" part refers to the IP addressing scheme used within the
network. For example, 192.168.0.0/24 could be the logical network used for our design.
