Running Head: PSYCHOLOGY 1 One-Way Anova-HS Longitudinal Dataset Name Course Professor Date PSYCHOLOGY 2 High school longitudinal dataset was used to research the relationship that exist between T1 School locale (urbanicity) and hours spent on math homework/studying in typical school week (S2mhomewrk). T1 School locale (urbanicity) variable reports subject location of the high schools which are town, suburb, city, and, rural. This variable is categorized as nominal scale level of measurement. This is a classification variable that indicates the group to which each subject belongs. It does not provide any quantitative information about the subject. S2mhomewrk variable is an interval-ratio or scale level of measurement. It does have quantitative meaning such as means, standard deviation and variance. In scale, the division between the points on the scale have an equivalent distance between them. “Levene’s test showed that the variances for hours spent on math homework were not equal, F (3, 18,106) = 5.794, p = 0.001.” “A one-way between subjects Anova was conducted to compare effects of T1 School locale on hours spent on math homework.
