Nash kicks off his career as a university graduate with a major in mathematics from Princeton University. He was well known for his intelligence. John Forbes is a rather arrogant student who seems not to fit well in a social setting and devotes his time to solving a revolutionary mathematical equation. Halfway through the movie, it is realized that fifty percent of the happenings were only imaginations of John. That is when it is discovered that he was suffering from schizophrenia. Among the initial characters that he develops an imaginary relationship with is his roommate Charles Herman who majors in English literature. Further, John Forbes goes deeper into his imagination when he supposedly meets Parcher who works at the Pentagon and asks for his aid in deciphering their code.
