Adapting Programs/Interventions to Different Populations
My current organization is Lifespan Connect for Health, and this is where I am currently
doing my practicum. The organization offers several health programs. One such program is
Lifespan Cardiovascular Care that is presently provided in Rhode Island (Lifespan Health
System, 2020). To adapt this program to a different population, the organization should ensure

that the program features make sense to the target population (Rural Health Information Hub,
2021). To ensure that the program fulfills the expectations of the target community, the
organization should first involve community members in the planning process of the program.
Some of the members that the organization could involve include local agencies and the target
population. The current system can be adapted so that it is relevant to the new community (Rural

another (Wadud & Berkowitz, 2021). For healthcare organizations, it is critical to put these
differences into consideration when looking to successfully adapt a health intervention.
