A low fodmap diet is a diet plan that restricts the consumption of particular
carbohydrates, particularly the fiber, starch, and sugars in foods. However, the low fodmap diet
is not a typical low-carb diet. It is based on the strict reduction of slowly absorbed and
indigestible carbohydrates. For most people, the foods are not a health problem unless consumed
excessively. FODMAPs are not bad for the human body, and many foods rich in them are known

them. The diet is designed for individuals struggling with irritable bowel syndrome. It helps them
