GCU Library Scholarly Databases
One of the critical components of learning is the research process. According to Kapur
(2018), research is the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide solutions to
practical challenges. However, this phase of engaging literal materials outside the classroom has
seen some students fall victim to thousands of unverified online information. According to
Aharon et al. (2021), health practitioners have, unfortunately, been among thousands of people to
taste the effects of misinformation during the Covid-19 outbreak. While people thirst for
knowledge to understand various concepts and theories, there is a need to educate the masses on
which sources are credible for reference. In the nursing field, any application or adoption of

student to narrow their search to subjects and dates. Second, the databases include exclusive
subscriptions by the school. This allows the school professors to verify the relevance of the
journals before shortlisting them to the database. Third, GCU databases have contact persons
available to help students along with their library needs. Lastly, the databases are well
maintained and regularly updated, thus assuring the credibility and authenticity of the contents
