Describe the cost-benefit analysis that was used in the standard-setting process for the substance you chose for your SLP Health assessment methods were employed to identify the cost benefit of lead poisoning in a person’s body. The process involved analysis of the health risks attributed to lead poisoning. Some of the health risks that identified are inclusive of immune systemespecially in children-poisoning which may lead to reduced functioning of the blood cells in the body. In addition, Heme synthesis was examined which indicated that lead poisoning in the body may inhibit distribution of oxygen in the blood through the removal of hemoglobin thus affecting how blood cells in the body perform their operations. Developing nervous system was also examined and research found that sensory, behavioral and cognitive functioning is affected by various levels of lead poisoning. Cardiovascular system was also analyzed to understand influences that lead poisoning bring to the system. Notably, both the negative and positive outcomes in each set were carefully drafted and compared to evaluate which among the risks causes more harm than the other. 2.
