The WW2 involved allies of United States on one side and the opponents allied to the Soviet Union on the other. The world had two centers of power. The aftermath of the war brought about several developments namely; growth of commerce, the creation of United Nations and industrial development. In the United States, there was massive growth in infrastructure development, manufacturing, and public consumerism. The WW2 was financed at a high cost using public debt (War bonds and taxes). There was the need for recovery funded through the growth of federal spending to avoid getting into economic depression experienced in the 1930’s (Lizabeth, 2004). After the WW2, there was growth in demand for new goods and services, increased military ware, and growth of consumer market. Factories used to manufacture weapons for the war were renovated to form new production lines (Assembly lines) for cars, electronics, appliances and other public goods.
