ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE ANALYSIS PRESENTATION (ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION) PRESENTER: COURSE: INSTRUCTOR: DESCRIPTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE (ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION)  Environmental degradation is considered the deterioration of the environment or disintegration of the earth through consumption of assets e.g. water, soil, and air; eradication of wildlife and the destruction of environments (Pereira, 2015).  According to the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction, environmental degradation is among the biggest threats that pose a significant risk to our surroundings.  This environmental issue can be seen from the perspective of its long-term ecological effects, some of which can disintegrate the entire environment (Schreiber, et al., 2016).  As a result, there is need to address the causes and effects of environmental degradation through concerted individuals, communities, and/or government interventions ( Gallego-Alvarez, et al., 2013). CAUSES OF ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION  Environmental degradation is attributed to a variety of causes including: ➢ Land Disturbance: Here land damage through human activities or numerous invasive weedy plant ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ species.
