What did you not understand from the reading?
The statement by Lenin clouded my understanding about the introduction of State and
Revolution. Karl Kautsky who happen to be the senior German Social Democratic Party thinker,
was named the principal spokesman in the European socialist alliance of Marxism distortion
(Lenin, V. I., & Chretien, 41). I am not sure how this misrepresentation helped them undermine
their ability to stand up to the United States government during World War One. Only the
activities of the state are evaluated here, not the shift in state authority. Even in the current state,
expropriations and billeting are carried out on an as-needed basis. The proletarian state also
ordered the occupation and takeover of homes from a formal standpoint.
Similarly, I did not comprehend how the old executive machinery, the bureaucracy
associated with the bourgeoisie, would be unable to carry out the instructions of the proletarian
state. Marx in his statements concluded that the state would eventually vanish from socialist
history and political struggle. In the interim, the ruling class would be replaced by an organized
proletariat. It is important to note that Marx did not go out to discover the future political
formations. He confined his studies to a close reading of French history, dissecting it, and getting
the same conclusions that the year eighteen fifty-one had, namely, that the bourgeois state
machine was on the verge of collapse.
What questions for class discussion did it raise?
Here, the issue of officials' special status as state organs is brought into focus. That which
elevates them above the rest of society is clearly stated. To put the theory into effect, the Paris
Commune did so in 1871, and Kautsky, a reactionary thinker, disguised it in 1912. The need for
