Running head: PREFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS Preferential Diagnosis Name Instructor Course Date 1 PREFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS 2 Preferential Patient Diagnosis Signs and symptoms exhibited by the patient The patient exhibits negative attitude and mood swings whereby the patient lacks the feeling of satisfaction and love. There is the presence of distressing memories in both college academic life and body size. The element of self-esteem is tampered with due to the negative feelings. The patient avoids people who remind her of her current condition and she does not seem to know how these factors affect her. The patient’s social life and functioning are affected because even the family does not seem to understand her. Diagnosis Acute stress disorder Diagnostics The diagnostics are determined by the past experiences of the patient. This includes the exposures and the fears that she is subjected to. The analysis of the patient incorporates the physical examination and the body outlook. Acute stress disorder directly affects the patient’s physical conditions. In this case, the patient looks emaciated in the sense that she has lost much weight to the extent that even her family is worried(McHugh et al., 2013). Risk factors The factors that result in this condition entail exposure to various situations that directly affect the functioning and the positive outlook on life.
