is incompatible with the event Bthe bone density score is less than -1.93”.
The event C “the bone density score is less than 2.37” is the union of
incompatible A and B, therefore p(C)=p(A)+p(B) and p(A)=p(C)-p(B).
The probabilities from the left are just the probabilities of B and C. This way
p(A)=0.9911-0.0268=0.9643.
