Key elements of operations and supply chain management
Supply chain management has incorporated the management of demand and supply in the
market. The process entails the activities from locating, procurement, transformation and
logistics. Supply chain management also has linked with the suppliers, customers, distributors
and service distributors through collaboration and coordination. The following basic elements of
supply chain management are discussed in brief;
Collaboration: this feature helps bring members of the team together and thus helping them
increase their business and improve the teamwork to facilitate the organizational goals.
Demand: demand is a basic element of chain management as it focuses on meeting the
requirements of the customer rather than just focusing on the production.
Integration: this feature of supply chain management has helped the company save on the
inventory costs where the company uses the members to gain access to the information of supply
chain in a secure manner (Jacobs et. al., 2018).
Communication: effective communication has helped in the supply chain management because
the members are aware of the trends and know their duties in the market distributions thus
making them more useful in the delivery.

Chain supply management is a field that relates the process of demanding, planning, logistics and
procurement. For the customers to choose a certain product in the supply chain, they must be
convinced of the quality of the products. This implies that the company in the supply of the
