company which is one of the biggest technology giants in the world specializes in Internet-
related services including providing browsing engines for clients. Since technology is always on
the rise, the company focuses on providing cutting-edge solutions to different technology issues
in the market. The main concern of this company is to ensure that it stays on the forefront in the
introduction of new technology that changes the way people experience the world. The main

The two images present two different but closely-related goals of Google in the industry.
First, it is evident that Google has gone beyond the traditional services it once offered in internet
provision and search engines. Having been a leading provider of internet services in a long time,
the company has earned a customer base that highly depends on its services around the world.
The first image, therefore, is an introduction of new technological devices that keep the company
at the forefront of providing internet-related services. By introducing a Pixel 2 edge-to-edge
screen phone, the company aims to convince its consumers that it is on the forefront of
manufacturing devices that ensure that people stay connected. As such, the goal of the image is
to leverage the quality services provided in other areas in introducing a smartphone which the
consumers may expect to be as efficient as the other services.
Secondly, the company wishes to distinguish itself as classy and up to date with
technology. The second image, therefore, is a show of class leveraged in technology. The 3D
viewing glasses are not only technologically advanced but appealing in their appearance. The girl
pictured wearing them seems smart and classy. By classy, it narrows down to the quality of
service and products offered. Therefore, the launch of these 3D glasses is a show of quality and
class in design and production. The product launch was described by Owens as a “move to
challenge the tech rivals specifically Apple in the release of the series of iPhones” (Owens 1).
The two images, essentially, are a statement by the company that it is now a core participant in
the phone technology and that it provides class and quality in the same package.
The audience of the two images is the trendy handset user. This can be determined from
the context of the images. The first image of the Pixel phone is presented in a curved screen of an
edge-to-edge phone. Its appearance is such that anyone who likes new mobile phone devices
