Abstract
The Cultural scavenger hunt is the learning opportunity experiment which is facilitated ideally as
a part of arrival orientation in a place. There are factors such as the artifacts, basic assumptions
which assist in determining this cultural scavenger hunt. The artifacts, values and underlying
assumptions have various essential impacts to the organizational culture of saint Mary’s university.
One of them is that the values and artifacts are a representation of existing milestone of
performance achieved by the school. Further, they are an expression of physical manifestation of
the culture that exists to be the most visible level. They also address the myths and stories
associated with the university from the initiation of the institution to the present. Organizational
culture is an integral part of an academic system as it contributes to the success or failure of the
university. It is, therefore, evident in day to day running of the organization. The organization
culture of St Mary is different from other schools in various ways.
