Individual Rights and the Obligations of Government
United States civil liberties, as well as public rights, guarantee the obligations of United
States government to its citizen. The United States government has some responsibilities towards
the citizens where they ensure that the citizens are nonviolent in their day-to-day lives. While the
citizens pay duties to the federal administration, they always have prospects from the national
policy. The United States governments should protect the citizen's lives together with their
properties. The United States government also must improve the infrastructure which boosts the
living standards of the citizens. Providing policies, as well as funding things such as education
system, helps the citizens to gain knowledge for personal as well as the countries benefit.
Excellent education system improves the potential opportunities for the American people for it
eliminates danger associated with robberies and other crimes that result from illiteracy
(Aleinikoff, Alexander, 2014).

Healthcare becomes another obligation for the United States government. The
government should provide proper healthcare facilities of ethical standards in keeping the health
services better for the taxpayers. The healthcare facilities should be affordable and cheap. It is
paramount to maintain law and order by protecting human rights and promoting democracy. The
obligations of the government aimed at improving the living standards of the citizens and at the
same time supporting peace for the economic growth of the United States (Aleinikoff,
Alexander, 2014).
A real-world example regarding the government's obligation includes the Obamacare
which portrays the ACA (affordable care act). The ACA has provided the health coverage to the
citizens who do not have insurance coverage as well as the citizens who lack health insurance.
The ACA has shown an improvement in the health sector for the American citizens since enacted
by the former president of the United States. The ACA has demonstrated an increase in mental
health, reduced death rate as well as the improved self-reported status of heath in the United
States (Obama, 2016).
