MANAGING GLOBAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS 2
Introduction
PepsiCo is a multinational corporate business with about 500 shareholders. The company
has expanded its reach to all the six continents of the earth which are North America, South
America, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. The operations of the company at the various
continents are simplified into multiple sub-divisions. Production of the drinks and their bottling
is carried out within the factories of PepsiCo. Suppliers pick the products from the
manufacturing plant and sell them to retailers who later sell these goods to the final consumers.

anyone who wants to seek such data. A global information system by extension refers to such a
system of information that is available across the globe. An information system that is managed
well by an organization is essential for any group because of the following reasons:

The information system also helps the organization in planning and controlling of the
market.
Information systems also allow for quick supply of information.
Information systems also help improve decision making quality
