PRIVILEGE HEALTHCARE 2
Privilege Healthcare
Since the implantation of the affordable car act, citizens of America have continued to
enjoy slightly affordable healthcare insurance coverage. As much as this is true, some citizens
still find this package expensive. This paper discusses the reasons why some of the citizens of
America still cannot access the healthcare privileges brought by this act.
Explain at least three of the most common reasons why all Americans don’t have access to
healthcare in the United States even after the ACA.
One of the main factors that contribute to the high number of uninsured citizens in the
United States of America is the high costs. With the high costs, many citizens are unable to
purchase insurance. It may seem obvious just as the initials affordable care act suggests but on
the contrary, statistics indicate that majority of citizens who are uninsured lack enough resources
to purchase the insurance (Blumenthal et al., 2014)
Secondly, the high unemployment rates contribute to the high number of uninsured
citizens, employer-sponsored coverage is seemingly the most popular and easiest way to get
insurance. Most citizens who are unemployed find it challenging to access insurance coverage
primarily because they will not be in a position to service the subscription. (Blumenthal et al.,
2014)
Thirdly, resistance from governors in 21 non-existent states is also a contributor to the
high number of uninsured citizens of America. These states work with the opposition
governments claiming that there is no need for the affordable care act. With this, there is still a
high number of uninsured citizens in such states. (Blumenthal et al., 2014)
