MENTAL HEALTH IN UTAH 2
The state of mental health in Utah is really bad. The rate at which the mental health
illness is growing should be a matter of national concern. The government does not care at all
about the people who are faced with this particular condition. As a result, the cost of treating the
illness is very expensive since the mental asylum faculties in Utah are limited. The treatment cost
is said to be ten times more expensive at later stages if not addressed early enough. People who
are suffering from mental illness experience hard times since the world they are living does not
give them any support or the care they need (Buchi & Steele, 2008). The federal government in
Utah has neglected its duties and that has caused the healthcare system to subsequently neglect
its duties since it does not receive financial assistance from the government which should not be
the case.
