WEBSITE ANALYSIS 2
Introduction
User friendliness in a website is how simple the website is for the user to navigate
through it. It is a critical element in web design. Discussed below are some website's user-
friendliness.
Cbsnews.com
News on CBS is arranged chronologically in that one can easily find the latest news at the
pages top. The news is arranged into categories: most recent, live, US, world, politics et al. A
user can easily find news of interest on this site. Few advertisements are allowing the user to
view more news content. However, these categories are often stationed at every bottom of the
page. If the user wants to read news on health, he will be forced to scroll down to the footer of
the page to find the category. This is difficult for a new user who may easily choose to leave the
site.
Msnbc.com
The landing page is well organized as compared to some of the websites analyzed in this
essay. It covers news across different geographical regions and not the US alone as we may see
in some news websites. The content is well organized and just displayed without order on the
landing page. It enables the user to search for any news item of his or her interest.
Abc.com
The landing page is stashed with so much information as contrasted to the other websites.
One can view the top trending stories enabling the reader to know what topics are hot for
discussion easily. News categories are missing on the top of the landing page; they are located in
the footer. This will be very difficult for the reader to find the categories in the event they want
to read news as per a category.
Foxnews.com
Fox's landing page is more organized with categories appearing at the page's top. The top
trending story appears in the middle of the page while other top stories are displayed on the side.
