Sustainable energy literature review
Introduction
The term sustainable energy refers to the forms of energy that may be used over and over
without getting depleted or expired. For long periods of time, individuals, as well as groups, have
been advocating for the adoption of renewable energy for a wide range of reasons. One of the
primary reasons for promoting for the utilization of renewable energy is to reduce the destruction
of ecological infrastructure through the acts of pollution. Most sources of renewable energy are
clean and do not have any negative impacts on the environment. For instance, solar energy is one
of the sources of energy, and it does not pose any threats to the existence of the environments.
Over the years, there have been a lot of discussions with regards to the utilization of renewable

ideas on better ways to make good use of renewable sources of energy in the world.

some of the reasons that have slowed down the process of the utilization of renewable energy in
the world. In the paper, the authors indicate that while a lot of people are acutely aware of the
importance and benefits of renewable sources of energy, it is apparent that not very many people
have embraced the energy. Instructively, the writers indicate that these forms of energy are much
cheaper than the other sources of energy. In spite of these benefits, evidence shows that many
societies are yet to embrace the utilization of renewable energy fully.
In response to these facts, the authors have developed a new line of thought with regards
to the challenge. The paper indicates that the fact that individuals are slow to embrace the use of
renewable sources of energy is down to psychological factors. According to this line of thought,
it is a mental challenge that individuals are yet to embrace renewable sources of energy. In the
desire to encourage individuals to accept renewable sources of energy, the advocates have failed
to change the psychological position of the communities. According to the authors, the first step
towards the successful implementation of renewable energy in cities is to change the mindset of
the people.
Community-based initiatives
In "Growing grassroots innovations: exploring the role of community-based initiatives in
governing sustainable energy transitions" Seyfang and Alex indicate that to achieve meaningful
development in the field of Renewable energy, the most crucial aspect is to make sure that the
communities are involved. In most cases, institutions have failed in these projects when they fail
to include the community members in the projects. Instructively, it is the communities that
understand the approaches that may work for them and that makes it incredibly important to have
