Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and DRP
Crisis Management Plan refers to the senior response and immediate actions taken after
something escalates out of the ordinary business continuity while Disaster Recovery Plan
handles technology that makes companies tick. The differences lie in who is responsible for
what. For instance, you wouldn’t expect an IT to take of a PR when a system problem affects
customers.
Both CMP and DRP work along to resolve an adverse event. The crisis occurs and it springs into
action with its DR plan to solve it. Crisis Management Plan from the beginning of emergency all
the way to conclusion works with other departments to activate the appropriate procedures and
inform the public of the problem and the solutions (Fink n.p).
Research and find at least three (3) approaches for a developing CMP.
Establishment of an all encompassed crisis management team: Members drawn from all
functional units will help creating quality interpersonal relationship is significant to
harmonizing work relations. Interpersonal relationships in the work place have an
advantageous effect on both organizational and individual variables. It is apparent that

Develop effective communication system: Communicating effectively trims down the
probability of blunder and ultimately manages conflicts amongst colleagues in the
organization. In my opinion, face-to-face communication is the basis to which personal
and true relationships can have a strong foundation. Again, in the need to persuade
someone and convince them well, face-to-face offers that advantage.
Remaining impartial at the workplace. Avoiding favoritism to colleagues in regards to
personal attachment as it would compromise interpersonal relationships. All issues pertaining
colleagues welfare to be fairly handle to create a perceived solidarity and social welfare
considerations. Unfair treatment and favoritism gives rise to unnecessary stress and
eventually spoiling relationships.
Research and recommend a CMP approach for Wilmington University.
On recommendation programmes to enrich the workforce with the modern skills and keeping
them abreast of the trending technology instil confidence and motivation when performing their
duties. Equipping the team with skills offers them an empowerment opportunity. Investing in the
workforce is critical to the success of business. As a convenient CMP approach giving an
employee the opportunity to advance their education offers a promising future and career
prospects.
