CLASSIFICATION AND DIVISION 2
People vary on the basis of different things. Despite that all people belong to the same
species, race and ethnicity remain to be the primary basis for classifying human beings. There
are Mongolian races, Caucasian races, and Negroid races. They are based on shared genetics,
physical traits, social relations, language spoken, and national affiliation. This conceptualization
is referred to as a typological model of classification. These groupings lack a firm basis in
biology, but they have a significant influence on the contemporary social relations.
Each group is composed of people who fit under the same classification. Negroid races
include Melanesians/ Papua, African, Australian, aborigine, Sinhalese, and Dravidians. The
group of Mongolian races consists of the northern Mongolian, Japanese, Chinese and the indo-
Chinese, Korean, American, Indian, Micronesian, Malayan, Tibetan Maori and Polynesian. The
other group is Caucasian races which include the Hamates, Aryans, and Semites (Writings et al.,
21017).
Each group has its supporting details and distinct details. The feature which distinguishes
the three groups is the skull. The Caucasian race has a long head, high forehead and their face is
mainly narrow. Their nose is long in most cases and narrow. The Caucasian skull is Dicephalic
and individuals have a little supraorbital development. The mongoloid race skull is a high
incidence of Brachycephalic. They characterized by short round head. Their face is short and
wide with projecting cheekbones. Their nose is low and broad. They don’t have supraorbital
development. The Negroid skull is mostly dicephalic and small minority of Brachycephalic.
They are characterized by a high fore head with very little supraorbital development. Their nose
is low and broad, and their face is Leoroscopic to a lesser degree than that of Caucasian.
Each group is important in their way which they are most comfortable with. This is
determined by their physical features and their environment which influences their activities.
