Marketing strategy formulation is the method of expressing an institution's goals and
objectives in a business area or a certain market. The strategy formulation may be different in
depending on the environment it lies on. There are two environments in the business which are
the namely nonmarket environment and a market environment. The nonmarket strategy is the
process to pursue some strategic goals either through political or through social media. In this
form of management, it involves the government, the civil society, and even the media. These
nonmarket strategies do not have many complications since it is set and decided by an individual

mastering of the market is the key to have a successful business unlike in the nonmarket strategy
whereby mastering of the market is not even enough. Nonmarket strategy helps the person, or the
group involved to attain some power that helps them in their competitive business. The success is
on the firm's capability in both nonmarket and market strategy.
Via nonmarket strategies, individuals can create new laws regulations which are not
possible in the market strategies. It can also be through social pressure, media and even
education within that environment but in the market strategies it depends on those roles which
were made at the beginning on a particular business and no force can be applied to change them
indeed. Looking at the globe, you find that the nonmarket strategies are more global and they
have a long-term focus with the comparison to the market strategies. To manage the nonmarket
strategy in their excellent reputation then firms are invited by the managers to rectify where there
are some issues, this is not applicable in the market strategies.
Also, on the nonmarket strategy an assessment of the stage and the history of the
organization is required (Holburn, Guy, Richard, Vanden Bergh, 2014). This only helps those
involved in the global competition that needs more efforts and technics, and this cannot be
applied to the market strategy because the law does not allow for assessment to take place in
these environment.
