From the information provided, it is already known that Dr. Snuggles and Bob are in a
relationship and it has been ongoing for five years. However, Dr. Snuggles is married with two
sons. On the other hand, Bob does not work under Dr. Snuggles, but apparently, the two have
been together for enough time to get settled. Therefore, it is clear that Dr. Snuggles and Bob are
gay and this was not known since the rumor started spreading.
The problem in the organization is the fact that the two workers are in a relationship but
has been going on without any person knowing about it (Gohsman, 2009). According to the
hospital's policies, such a relationship should be declared to the management which Dr Snuggles
and Bob have not done for the past five years. Also, Dr Snuggles seems to have a problem as he
approaches all ladies who could be referred to as sexual harassment and not acceptable in the
organization.
Investigating the matter should take place through finding out the start point of the
relationship and any adverse impact that this has had on their job roles. Well, the problem could
not fall under sexual misconduct since the two have consensually agreed on having the
relationship (Gottfried & Reese, 2004). Also, the two employees have not violated any of the
Riverfront Medical policies only that no person has ever known that they have had a relationship.
Therefore, there is no basis for them facing the consequences as they have not violated any
requirements of the policy.
In this case, it does not matter that Bob is a male RN since the policy does not have
regulations on same-sex relationships. As a result, there is nothing wrong with the same-sex
relationship that has been ongoing in the organization between Dr. Snuggles and Bob. Well, in
