Conversation with female employee

1. Create a friendly environment to talk with the female employee regarding the sexual

harassment complaint including a warm welcome into my office

2. Guarantee the employee that she is safe and secure from any sort of retaliation

3. Inform the employee that she took the right action in reporting the case regardless of

what the results of investigation into the case find

4. Ask the employee to immediately inform me of any retaliation that has resulted from

reporting the case

5. Ask the employee to narrate the entire story using her own words

6. Ask the employee to include the dates, number of incidences, witnesses present,

situations, and anything else that will be helpful in the investigation

7. Listen carefully to the story and document the entire conversation

8. Write down all the facts presented by the employee including dates, witnesses, situations,

times, and any other relevant information noted by the employee.

9. Thank the employee for her time and guarantee a fair investigation into the complaint

10. Ask the employee to immediately report any retaliation from the male co-worker

11. Inform the female employee that I will notify her on the progress of the case
