BUSINESS AND I.T GOALS 2
Introduction
In a healthy business organization, a set of objectives are put in place to ensure that an
organization serves its purpose of the establishment to its owners and the customers they serve.
Summarily, business goals refer to the commercial techniques employed to ensure a better
economic return to both owners and consumers to business. I.T goals, on the other hand, are the
technological objectives embraced by an organization to help in minimizing the cost at which a
company operates while maximizing its output at the same time.
Business goals
Profitability
In every business, an establishment is founded on the desire for profit, and that is the
main reason for starting a business in most cases. However, it is common knowledge that
achievement of earnings in business depends on proper utilization of resources to employ
minimal expenditure during production and operations while maximizing the output of the
products produced.
Efficiency
Increasing the efficiency of a business operation as a means of improving productivity in
both qualitative and quantitative terms is a goal that forms one of the core foundations of many if
not all businesses. With efficiency comes retention of both employees and customers to a
particular brand. When a product is right, the people involved in its production are proud of their
work hence are more likely to stick around. As for the customers, their satisfaction will increase
and ultimately will the market size (Keen et al. 2015)
