technology. The company works in a competitive industry and has to identify and formulate
strategies which will assist in having a significant market share. The company has to make the
right decision that will focus on having an operating environment that will facilitate its success
(Bevilacqua, Ciarapica, & Giacchetta, 2012). Performing an external environment analysis will
lead to the success of the corporation as it will identify the essential factors which it will have to
consider in its performance of business activities. The paper focuses on the external environment
analysis for Hewlett Packard based on the PESTLE model.

Hewlett Packard is a multinational corporation thus operates in different nations in the
world. As a result, the company faces challenges from adhering to various requirements by the
governments of these states. In every country where the company operates, the government has
imposed regulations, and there is the need to adhere to them. Also, the company has to
understand that there is the risk of political pressures that may lead to changes in the business
environment and implement the best strategies to cope with the problem (Kachru, 2005). Also,
the different governments have imposed taxation regulations aimed at growing the economies.
Therefore, the company has to look into a nation before embarking on the process of introducing
its branches there to avoid high-risk political environments. The company will also have to be
prepared to take the opportunity in exploiting the opportunities in other nations despite the
