PREVENTING CARE 2
The important thing about preventive services, they are freely when delivered by a doctor
or other provider in your health care (Bartholomew, 2011). In most health care patients are asked
different questions after every visit. For example, a patient suffering from anxiety is asked how
often he has felt nervous or anxious in the past two weeks. This information will help the doctor
to provide the preventive services of anxiety to the patient.
Age and gender bring impact delivering preventive services and health education. This is
because the services delivered to adults may have an effect to children (In Smith, 2013). The
health education that is educated to adults is different from what the children are taught. Also in
gender women and men interact differently to their doctor hence they are provided with different
preventive services. In health education, most hospitals will educate the women and men
separately.
In early childhood this is where the patient reaches the developmental milestone. This
helps impact to make healthy changes and to take care of their health. The risk factors associated
with health promotion include high blood pressure, underweight and alcohol consumption. These
behavioral risk factors can be prevented.
