DOCTRINE OF SALVATION 2
Doctrine of Salvation
The theology of salvation is mostly based on Christianity. In Christianity, the term
salvation has variation detonations such as deliverance, preservation, safety depending on the
context of use. For instance, according to one of the narrations in the Bible, it is believed that the
children of Israel were delivered. Saved, taken to safety by the Lord from the hand of Pharaoh.
However, when it comes to the theology of salvation, Christianity is categorical concerning the
meaning of the term and the overall doctrine. The purpose of this paper is to understand the
doctrine of salvation as a core principle upon which the entire religion rests. It will describe the
condition of the human race such that God saw the need to save and deliver them.
Soteriology is the term used to in theological studies to teach the doctrine of salvation. To

narrative, confess their sin and repent. Repenting means turning away from their sin entirely and
committing their lives to God (Bell, 2010). Only then will they be delivered from the end times
that will be plagued with myriads of challenges, disease and eventual eternity in hell. Despite all
Christian believing in the Bible and the way of salvation, various denominations differ on some
