Plot of the movie

Burn is a fictional movie that illustrates how a banana republic is developed by actions of

those in power. Burn focuses on the Caribbean republic. British government sends Brando who

is a character in the movie to manipulate the government to open up the fictional state for

exploitation by Royal Sugar business. The British government needs are to overturn the current

regime and replace it with a responsive system that will abide by its desires. William Walker

slave workers who work in sugar plantations against the Portuguese administration William

Walker and Doleres actions to revolt against the government was successful to establish a

cooperative regime for the British government desires. Burns movie themes are diverse as

follows;

Treason

Treason stands out as the prominent theme in the film Burn as characters are lured into

submission by a foreign agent to go against the government. William Walker who is an alien

agent from the British government convinces Dolores to revolt against the elected regime.

Through assistance from the British government was overturned for selfish gains. During the

mid-19th century sugar was an export leading commodity hence the British government wanted

to control the influence of the Portuguese in the market. Acts that go against the creed of a nation

are considered serious offenses Dolores is regarded as a traitor as his rule turn out to be worse

from the previous regime. The country was exploited from the resources it produces which
