The employee’s performance is key to the achievement of the firm’s goals and
objectives. It is, therefore, the managements responsibility to ensure that it sets a conducive
working environment. This will ensure that there is full utilization of human resources, which
includes the employee. It also entails providing employees with assistance, both social and
physical, that will go a long way into seeing to it that their potential is fully exhausted
(Bakker, 2010).
It is quite clear that the management made a significant effort by instituting
appropriate measures to ensure that the employee has been given a chance to prove his
efficiency and effectiveness.
There is a possibility that the working environment is rigid to the employee, thereby
hindering him from executing his personal knack. A task may have specified technicalities to
be followed, but creativity and the skills of handling it may vary.
It is also recommendable for the firm to try to offer psychological help to the
employee. Over the recent past, the absolute application of performance evaluation
techniques has proven ineffective (Bakker, 2010). Such techniques, which include training,
can only meet the physical needs of the employee. Therefore, the firm should elect to offer
psychological help to the employee.
