This was very insightful, understanding the difference between coaching, managing and
mentoring and how they all marry is important as they all create growth and improve
performance both at the workplace and in defined projects. I believe that it is more beneficial to
have a project manager that is both a coach and a mentor to several people as well. As much as it
is important for completion of the projects through focusing on the work, I believe that it is also
important to mentor and coach so that skills and performance can be improved all while creating
the next crop of managers. I agree that a coaching culture in project management is necessary. I
love your division of the paper into the numbered findings as it made it easier to read through.
