1. The situation is regarded as an example of smoldering crisis. Food poisoning is a
sickness that occurs by eating contaminated food. A stadium that caters a huge
number of guests will have to provide ample food options that undergoes rigorous
sanitation protocols to prevent food contamination. An adequate amount of planning
and management is needed to foresee and mitigate the risk of food poisoning; thus
the crisis is a smoldering crisis that resulted from the management's lack of diligence
in food handling.

People - proper food handling should include the wearing of appropriate work
clothes or garments as well as wearing gloves, hairnets, facemasks, etc.
depending on the type of food. People responsible in handling food should
also observe proper personal hygiene and must be routinely checked by
assigned personnel.
Systems or Processes - Different kinds of food or beverage item will require
varying types of process to ensure proper handling is achieved. Require the
use of heating appliances in keeping the correct food temperature as well as
refrigeration equipment to keep beverages and other food products in a
chilled state as necessary. Processes must include strict implementation of
food intervals to prevent food items being put on display for extended period.
Create frequent food inspection schedule to give an additional layer of control
over possibilities of breach on food sanitation practices that the management
implores.
External Components - Those that are indirectly affecting the quality and
status of each food item that may prevent it from being fit for consumption.
Utensils, straws, cups, food containers, etc. that comes along with food items
should always be food grade as it may end up affecting the food handling
process. The expiration date of food items that are stocked in shelves should
also be considered whenever they are displayed for consumers. The weather
and climate can also impact the shelf life of different food products sold
through the concessionaires as it may shorten the average shelf life of a food
item depending on the changes in the weather. The location on where food is
stored or displayed could also pose risks that compromises food safety such
as direct sunlight in an open area for a food stall.
