Nutrition
Introduction
Taking a balanced diet is one of the ways through which people get to live healthily.
Nutrition help's in fighting some of the diseases and conditions that affect people in their daily
lives. However, according to the doctors, some of the conditions and illnesses arise from people
having not taken enough nutrients. On the contrary, some of the conditions are treated by
reducing the intake of specific food products which could have propagated their development
(De Meester et al., 2011). As a result, there is the need to strike a balance between the food
which people take and the amounts since they contribute to health conditions in the long run.
There is the need for people to understand some of the concepts associated with nutrition.
Chronic and renal failure
The condition arises from the issue of fluids and electrolytes in the body in amounts not
right for some of the body organs. When one takes massive amounts of proteins, the digestion
process leads to the production of juices which have an impact on the normal functioning of the
kidney. In this case, the organ cannot handle some of its functions as a result of the overload
when a person consumes large amounts of proteins (Roberfroid, 2000). When kidneys fail in
their functioning ability, it implies that the general body functioning also becomes affected and
this contributes to the general body weakness. Treatment will require that one reduces the
amount of protein intake since this will reduce the workload on the kidneys. As a result, the
condition has an association with nutrition since people have to overwork their kidneys and since
they may not handle the pressure, it may lead to failure of their functioning.
