REFLECTION 2
There are three things that go must hand in hand as far as health care is concerned. It
includes; the cost of care, access to care and the quality of care. The cost of care refers to the
amount of money that is spent while giving a certain service or treatment to a patient and it must
correspond with the quality of care offered (Nilsen, 2015). Similarly, this care being offered
must be available to all, that is the care must be accessible to all the people those who do require
it.
In the United States, the quality of care is not directly impacted by the cost of care. This
is because in the US the cost of treatment is much higher and even the medicine is much
expensive to acquire. Also, comparing the quality of care and the access to care, in the US it is
not much related. The accessible care is very expensive and needs people to have some cash with
them in order to achieve it. Actually, in the US it is very much hard to do compare the quality of
care with the accessibility of the care.
The quality of care directly to the cost of care will have a lot of benefits to the people
living in an area. This is because those who do live in the US will actually have an easy access to
the medical coverage and it being cheap it will improve their standard of living. When the cost
of care goes down, one will be much comfortable to get access to care in the healthcare centers
and even the quality of care offered there will be directly proportional to the rate of care offered
to them. When the three relates very well, life will be much better and simple since everyone will
be able to access care at an affordable cost, any time of his or her wish (Knowles, Holton &
Swanson, 2014).
