Introduction • In physical theater there is always intention behind the movement. This is explained through the 4 themes of movement,by Laban who’s methods will be discussed throughout this presentation. • Physical theater implies that the whole body is connected and that breath is at the core of all movement. Physical theater has been in existence for centuries through various forms of theater. The first known appearance of physical theater was in the era of Greek theater. The gestures used in Greek theater rely on acting with the body which classifies it as physical theater.
