Unexpected Events
Delayed first milestone payment, unavailability of the material and increased units
ordered by the client will have an impact on various areas of the contract. First, it will affect the
human capital. For example, an increase in the number of backpacks from 100 to 150 in the first
delivery will have an impact on the human capital required to produce the ordered units. It will
also impact the cost of producing more units since more human cost will demand more pay. It
will also affect the scheduling of the processes and space allocations. More backpacks need a
bigger space.
Unavailability of material will affect the scheduling of the events since the events will
have to start late. This is an indication that for the project to meet the first delivery, more human
capital is needed to meet the deadline. This translates to higher budget to meet the demand.
Delay in the first payment by three months may not have a huge impact on the project. The
scheduling will be affected since some events might be delayed. The other thing is the project
planning will be affected since it requires financial planning. Therefore the areas that will be
affected by the unexpected events will be budgeting, human capital, scheduling and project
execution planning (Young 135).
