ACCEPTING A LEADER’S VISION 2
A vision is a clear, unique, and particular outlook of the forthcoming time, and it is
normally associated with the tactical developments of the concerned corporation (Roueche,
Baker, and Rose, 2014). Successful leaders tend to convey their vision to the organization with
the aim of promoting eagerness and devotion in the entire corporation. Therefore, for a leader to
be successful in their undertakings in the company, they are supposed to have the ability to
convey their vision and convince the staff as well as other colleagues in the firm to work towards
accomplishing the vision. The ability to convey their vision to the members of the organization
would determine the time it would take for it to be embraced. Therefore, the leaders with suitable
communication abilities tend to have their vision embraced by the staff quicker compared to the
ones lacking this ability.
The chief executive officers who lack the ability to convey their visions properly to the
staff tend to spend a lot of time convincing them to embrace it. Another element that affects the
speed at which a vision is embraced is its practicality. People tend to accept a vision that is
appealing and the one that appears to be possible to accomplish. If the leader creates a vision that
too ambitious and appears to be unrealistic when the resource of the company is considered, the
staff may reject it or take a substantial amount of time to embrace it. Therefore, a leader may
have his position taken when his vision consumes more than three years before it is achieved.
The leader should hence have visions that are realistic and in line with the resources of the
current organization they are running to facilitate their quick acceptance by the personnel.
