He became a footballer in America. After playing very well and managed to compile six hundred and eighty-six yards on ninety eighty carries and ten touchdowns as a sophomore. The combination of managing all America collections made Syracuse University to won the national championship of the year. In 1961 Ernie Davis became the first black African-America footballer to have won Heisman trophy from Syracuse University. In connection to this, it very important to analyze the background of Ernie Davis as a footballer. Davis was a player who managed to loop up eighty hundred and seventy-seven rushing yards on an unresolved seven point eight patches per carry in 1960. In 1961 he was managed eight hundred and twenty-three rushing yards making him to won the Heisman Trophy and was recognized as the top player.
