Physical, Emotional and Social Health Aspects
Physical Health
Physical health is instrumental to all human beings. A body that is physically weak
cannot function properly and in such a situation it becomes difficult to appreciate life. Life is
only meaningful and appreciated if one is physically healthy. However, in this situation, I
consider obesity as a condition that is afflicting my family members. There has been a notion
that our family has a gene of being huge or weighty, but again it is becoming a serious health
issue. However, to avoid suffering from this obesity, I have to do something, because I see this
condition preventable.
To prevent obesity, one must make some dietary choices. It is apparent that my siblings
and parents consume a lot of fast foods, and also they consume a lot of soft drinks (Fletcher et
al., P.45). However, after realizing reading some research on obesity, it has dawned on me that
monitoring diet and avoiding some foods especially junk, snacks, and soft drinks can prevent the
condition. Thus, I am monitoring what I eat, and my parents have also become keen on what
they eat because it is a condition that is largely affecting them.

Exercise choices are also important in the prevention of obesity. To have those calories
torched, exercise is critical. One has to run, jog and do aerobics and gym. For now, my father is
ensuring that every family member trains and I believe that my exercises at the gym would keep
me away from this condition (Fletcher et al., P.45). Indeed, the gym and aerobics help in weight
management which in the end keeps me physically healthy, hence preventing obesity. Finally, to
ensure physical safety I need to exercise regularly and carefully and also I should avoid the
sedentary lifestyle that leads to other serious disorders.
Emotional Health
Emotional health is important to every person and when an individual is a position to
maintain emotional health they would be able to prevent some psychological disorders.
Anyway, to be emotionally healthy an individual should manage stress (Nusslock, Robin, and
Gregory, P.87). To manage stress is sometimes difficult but it is something possible. One way
of managing stress is avoiding being alone because being alone gives one time to start thinking
deeply about their problems. But, if a person is with others, they can chat and possibly they can
be encouraged to be strong. In addition, to reduce stress, a person would need to avoid idleness,
and that is to imply that one should be able to engage in some activities like exercise or playing.
Generally, to manage stress requires that one becomes active to avoid situations that can keep
them thinking about the things stressing them.
Also, an individual should enhance their happiness if they want to be emotionally
healthy. To boost happiness, one should get a loving, respectful and romantic relationship with
the right partner. Being in a relationship that is fulfilling entirely boosts happiness (Nusslock,
Robin, and Gregory, P.89). Also, seeking spiritual nourishment is essential in enhancing
