ASSIGNMENT 2
An intern role at ACME behavior consultation to do a follow up activity to determine, the
success of the procedures that were put in place in collaboration with Pathways alternative
school staff in creation of individual behavior intervention plans (BIP) for students and to
conduct an inter-observer agreement (IOA) to determine whether the staff has maintained the
skills and techniques acquired during training (Nambiar et al., 2016)..
REQUIREMENT 1:
Importance of data collection and analysis in program design and evaluation.
From the above study, several methods were used to collect data. Such included;
Use of written surveys administered to staff being currently intervened.
Observation as used during inter-observer agreement (IOA)
Similarly, data was analyzed using the following methods;
Written surveys questionnaires provided a recorded response from the staff.
Table on the integrity of physical aggression from the observers during inter-observer
agreement
Integrity checklist as completed by the supervisor on implementation of new behavior plans
from the staff.
Different methods will be used in specific phases in program evaluation and design depending on
the series of benefits it provides. The above methods are beneficial because;
1. Evaluators can compile data from all members and stakeholders involved with regard to
their contribution, behavior, attendance and also the topics they have covered.
