SOLUTIONS TO ILLEGAL DRUG USE AND PROSTITUTION
Solutions to Illegal Drug Use and Prostitution
Illicit drug usage has detrimental effects on the individual involved and also on the
society. It is, therefore, necessary to develop steps to curb illegal drug usage. One solution will
include shifting various resources into useful programs for reducing illicit drug usage. Though
the law enforcement consistently works hard to reduce drug usage, it is also necessary to
implement programs that will help in the eradication of drug use (Dusenbury & Falco, 1995).A
significant amount of resources is usually channeled towards incarceration as well as interdiction
and law enforcement programs. It is, therefore, necessary to direct the budget towards programs
that are related to the treatment, research, and education concerning illegal drug use. Therefore,

that focus is placed on the more powerful stakeholder in drug distribution. The justice system
will, therefore, need to be overhauled to provide sufficient reduction in substance abuse. These
measures will ensure efficient management of the drug abuse issue. Drug abuse has become a
common occurrence in many communities and it is necessary to take urgent measures to ensure
