The following are the three major issues which affect healthcare organizations.
Shortages of talents; health care organizations that are value based, need the best talents possible.
This is because of the more talents in the health care organization the better the quality of patient
care, this includes both clinical and non-clinical talents.
The transition to value-based health care from volume-based health care; quality is always
accounted for in the whole world of healthcare. If the standards of quality fail, it means that the
organization will deliver care and incur that cost without being paid back.
Rising costs; many healthcare organization face challenges when transitioning to value-based
from volume-based. This is due to rise costs of transition (Shortliffe, Edward, and James,
Cimino, 2013)
As the HRM of a healthcare organization, they are responsibilities that one should play. This
is because HR is the vital management task in the field of healthcare and other sectors in which
customers face challenges because of the staff’s services. The major role of the HR in such a

situation is employing experienced people in the field. The human resource manager should be
engaged in developing talents of the individuals working in the healthcare organization as well as
in the implementation of programs that will enhance corporation and communication between
those workers. The HR should also be involved in staffing and job analysis as well as in the
utilization of available workforce (Germov, John, 2014).
Long-term care facilities and nursing homes is an example of health care setting. As the
human resource manager in the organization, it is very important to deal with Healthcare issues.
In order to deal with the issue of shortage of talents in the organization, it is important for the HR
to create an atmosphere which appreciates these talents as well as offer advancements in
opportunities which will give them a stronger voice in the organization. In order to deal with the
issue of transition to value-based health care from volume-based health care, the HR can come
up with diagnostic treatment services in private physicians’ office. This will help in the quality of
life of technology and education are utilized full. Lastly, in order to deal with the issue of rising
costs, the HR is supposed to encourage ways of paying for health care as well as encourage the
following, HMOS and competition, Employer contribution methods and lastly, introduce
managed care as well as a state of mental health parity mandate (Eppich, Walter, and Adam,
2015).
