EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT 2
Part 1:
The environments for early childhood stimulate the learning process. The different stages
of development require various conditions. Early childhood preschool classrooms need settings
reach in play. Children need practicality and experiments. They all need models or senior people
to instruct them. They also need to be exposed to other people. There are different aspects
involved in the development of classroom environments to make them appropriate for early
childhood education. The physical environment, the curriculum, teachers and parent involvement
are all important and should be integrated into the classroom environment. A development
environment has to be safe and secure to allow a child grow socially, physically and emotionally.
The classroom has to be relaxed and provide the appropriate material for learning (Neaum,
2016).
The development appropriate lessons for children at the preschool and early five years
old are different. While in preschool, the children need more practicality. They are taught how to
handle writing material, vowels a, e, I, o, u, alphabets, basic number patterns 0-9, basic shapes
and animal names such as cat, mother, and father. They are taught what they are likely to
encounter in daily life. Besides, this environment teaches children the important daily activities
such as eating, playing, sleeping, washing hands and going to the bathroom.
In the advanced classroom m comprising of children above five years are taught slightly
complex ideas. These kids are taught differences, simple mathematics calculation with smaller
numbers, writing names, drawing images of the objects they learn in class and naming them;
drawing shapes and distinguishing colors and engaging in physical education and basic lessons
