By definition, love can be said to be a variety of different feelings, body, and mental
states as well as attitudes that range from interpersonal affection to pleasure (BARRACK, 2013). It
can also refer to emotions of strong attraction and even at times personal attachments. In other
terms, love can as well be a virtue that represents human kindness, compassion, and affection
which in most cases is seen as the selfless loyal and general benevolent concern for the good
well being of one another. Also, love describes the passionate and affectionate actions towards
oneself, other human beings as well as animals. Ancient philosophers group love into four
groups which are
Kinship or familiarity
Friendship
Romantic love
Divine/self-emptying love
As it is now, modern authors have been able to distinguish love further into different
varieties which are
Limerence
Amount de soil
Courtly love
In the Abrahams religion, love has other additional religious and spiritual meanings.
Therefore, due to this diversity of its uses and meanings, it generally makes it difficult to define
love consistently. Also, the complexity of feelings involved compared to other emotional states
