Apple
There are legal factors that affect Apple Inc. during their operations. In most cases, it
is the legal external factors in the Apple Company that create a threat to the company. This
involves the laws and regulations which affect the operation of the business (Law Library of
Congress).
Increasing privacy regulations
The government has come to realization with the issues that are connected to digital
technology use and as a result, it has passed some privacy regulations that are imposed on
companies such as Apple. Due to this matter, Apple has come up with ways to develop
products which will involve the transmission of private information. Everyone using Apple
products is required to provide his personal information. If a customer fails to provide his or
her details, then Apple Company will not be able to provide their products (Legal
Environment of Business, pp24).
Regulatory laws
These are laws that affect the way the business operate in particular situations. Some
business is operated the same way as others but there are several categories such as apple that
operates differently. The apple company has patent and copyright rights which relate to
certain aspects of the company such as accessories, devices, services, and software. This has
happened not only in the United States but also in all countries where the company operates.
(Legal Environment of Business, pp34). According to the law, every company should apply
for patent rights in order to protect the intellectual property which is obtained from third
parties. They are supposed to renew their licenses which relate to several aspects of their
products, services, and processes. There is also no guarantee that these licenses will be
obtained in future with the same reasonable terms like before.
