Training is an important method of expanding the knowledge base of the workforce in an
organization. To those employees who have some work shortcomings and general work
inefficiency, training offers and opportunity for these workers to potentially improve their skills
and general perform better in their respective work areas which also reflects in the organization's
entire performance.
Training helps to eliminate the weak links in an organization which is the ultimate
objective of organizational strategic performance. (Chopra 2015) Training ensures that
employees have a standard level of experience and general work knowledge; this ensures that
employees perform optimally. Training will much substantially change the future of an
organization if well implemented. Organizations will significantly improve on performance if
training and development are well implemented.

The rising trend of contingent employment is on the rise in the recent years due to the
following mentioned reasons. High levels of labor flexibility are experienced; contingent
workers are increased during the peak seasons and are laid off during the low seasons. These
workers are used as insulation to the business during last times. Labor costs are ultimately
reduced once a business adopts the contingent employment; this is because permanently
employed workers are paid much more as compared to the contingent employees. (Mccotter
2017) Work specialization is enhanced once an organization adopts the contingent employment
system. However, job security is not given to the employees.
