CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR 2
Criminal Behavior
The negative effects of terrorism have been widely known. However, there is an increasing
evidence of positive elements on terrorists acts. War on terrorism has been going every day, and
especially in the United States because terrorism has been increasing each year.it is very
important to understand the impact of terrorism because the acts of terrorists are to intimidate
society as a whole (Woodard, 2017).
Chosen organization
My chosen organization is ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria or Islamic State of Iraq and al-
Sham). This is a major terrorist group that is targeting to establish a “caliphate”. The major
stronghold of this group is the Syrian City of Raqqa and has been considered to control a number
of lucrative oil in Syria. The forces in Iraq and Syria formed ISIS in 2013.
Typical member of the group
According to research, Iraqi Sunni cleric and former US prison inmate Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi are
considered to be typical member of this group from 2010. Definitely, among the typical
members, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is considered the most wanted criminal in this group.
The legal system and the terrorism group
The legal system is usually against the terrorism group. Across the United States, the government
is aiming to reduce to rate of terrorists across the country. When a terrorist is recognized to be a
criminal in the legal system, the criminal is printed on different newspapers and after they have
arrested him or her, the criminal is prosecuted and can be sentenced for life.
